Fellow RVUA members,

If you would like to be considered for a post-season tournament assignment in 2018 you MUST attend one of the regional rules interpretation meetings. NJSIAA just released the location and schedule of these meetings. For your convenience to plan ahead, I am forwarding these dates and places to you below.

If you only attend the rules interpretation meeting given at an RVUA meeting, or at another chapter’s meeting, then you may only work regular season varsity games, but you may not work in the post-season.

2018 Regional Meetings

The 2017 high school season has ended and we are excited to look ahead for the 2018 season.

The RVUA cadet class will be held at Hunterdon Central High School. Starting in January 2018.

Plans are to have the class meet twice a week ( Tuesday and Thursday ) in the evening.

Starting at 7pm and ending at 9pm. Cost of the class is $120.00.

If you have an interest or know of someone interested in participating in the class to become NJSIAA certified Baseball and/or Softball certified, please have them contact  Gary Peckman or send them the link for this website and have them fill out the registration form.

Umpire workout

This is a suggested workout and some simple stretches to help loosen you up before the season and before games.

Now for the disclaimer.. check with your doctor before doing any physical activity.

We need to stay/get into shape for the upcoming season. Remember the student athletes are always going to stay the same age. It is the umpires that keep getting older.
